Jean Marie
McLain was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and
lived for many years in Delaware County. After years in the Texas hill country near Austin, she now resides in Fort Myers, Flordia. She is an advanced student
of the Civil War and a reenactor of the period.
As Best We Could, set in the Civil War, is her
first novel.
A Light in the Window is her second novel, a sequel to As Best We Could. It tells the story of Jamie's homecoming.
