How do I get my book published?

One of the most exciting moments of my life was the day that I first held my completed published book in my hands. The sense of accomplishment, completion, and sheer joy isn't possible to explain. It's like trying to tell single guy what it's like to hold your own child in your arms. We started this company because we wanted everyone who had been compelled to write a manuscript (or dreamed of writing one) to have this, once in a lifetime, experience.

Additionally, even if you've only written this book for your great grandchildren (for posterity), there's always a chance that it will gain a larger audience. Tom Peter's, the world famous author of In Search of Excellence, never dreamed that his book would be of interest to the millions that have read and learned from it, Anne Frank didn't write her diary with even a thought of the millions that would ultimately be inspired by it. You wrote your manuscript because you have a story or message to share, you've some idea as to whom might be interested, now it's time to publish and you have some difficult choices ahead of you. Will you try to get an agent and go with a Traditional Publisher? Or, will you try the self-publishing route?

If you do decide to self-publish, you will have to decide whether to do it all yourself (probably not a good idea), use a subsidy press or vanity book publisher, or a company like Groundbreaking Press, an author-services company, that will make sure that your book is produced at the high-quality standard demanded by the book publishing industry (reviewers, distributors, and retailers). The chances of your getting a book at this level through the other self-publishing-services companies is extremely rare.
